Get to Know Us
Our family has been proudly farming the South Okanagan since 1955 when our family immigrated to the Okanagan Valley with only a suitcase in hand.
From our humble beginnings in Canada, our family’s hard work and farming expertise gave us the opportunity to purchase our first family orchard on the Naramata Bench in 1959. With almost 70 years of farming in the South Okanagan, we intrinsically understand the many unique and diverse aspects of our land. Our time working the land allowed us to understand its nuances – what makes it truly special – and this knowledge is reflected in how we craft our wine.
In addition to excellent wines, Da Silva Winery, is also a main stop for people because of “The Kitchen” restaurant located on their beautiful patio overlooking the Naramata Bench. Established in 2012 with the goal of offering a more social and interactive way of eating in a friendly atmosphere and honest, simple preparation- food with soul. The Kitchen offers a variety of tapas and unexpected dishes inspired by Portugal and Spain. The best way to experience the Kitchen is through “Chef’s Choice”, where Chef Abul will bring out course after course of vegetarian, seafood, meat tapas with surprises along the way. “
Our Approach
We are devoted to crafting wines of place, wines that directly reflect the individuality of the vineyard and our family growers. Whether it is refined and structured reds or crisp refreshing whites, our winemaking process is focused on guiding our grapes from harvest to bottle with unwavering attention to detail. We use an old-world approach to winemaking, where the vineyards shape the wine and aging process.
We have 9 vineyards throughout the Okanagan Valley each selected for its distinct terroir with a focus on creating a portfolio of wines that reflect the diversity of microclimates in the South Okanagan Valley.
