While sporting a contemporary star-motif label, the winery takes its name from the classics: Perseus, a constellation honouring a mythical Greek hero. In the quiet of winter, when the rewards of harvest are safely in the cellar and the vines are asleep, Perseus can be seen in the northern night sky, shining as a symbol of strength and inspiration.
Inside, the tasting room, wine shop, and amenities are modern, with a nostalgic twist—an old beam from Penticton’s first high school makes up part of the tasting bar.
Grapes from the winery’s Lower Bench Vineyard, Old Station Vineyard overlooking Skaha Lake, and Blind Creek Vineyard in Cawston, go into the small, but exciting, collection of high quality, expressive wines produced by Perseus. Because only the best fruit from each vineyard is used each vintage, the wines on offer vary from year to year.
